Going the Extra Mile
(Port St. Lucie, FL) With English being the most common spoken language worldwide, many non-English speakers struggle to communicate professionally and personally with others. Sadly, this is happening right here in our very own neighborhoods.
According to retired Indian River State College, ESL teacher, Dale Collins, “English serves as a bridge for success and opportunity.”
But English isn’t just about communication or professional purpose, it also gives you advantages you had never imagined. Learning English can change your life completely for the better future.
“Today, many Immigrants are forced to pass on good jobs. They give up any high hopes for a better future. Consequently, unable to break the cycle of poverty,” explained Collins.
The retired teacher has decided to go the extra mile and help people who are struggling to learn the English language.
English classes are free and will be offered on Friday evenings, from 7 pm – 9 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Port St. Lucie, 2240 S.E. Walton Road.
For more information, you may contact Dale Collins at 772-8900.
